John the baptizer wasn't sure Jesus was the one, so He sent his own disciples to ask, "Are you the one or should we wait for another?" It seems strange in a way. Jesus and John were cousins. Why was John unsure? He needed confirmation... some assurance.
At times, we do too. We wait and pray. We know the Savior is on His way. And when He shows up it might leave us wondering. Is this for real? Is He the one? Who better to ask than the One who confirms and assures all things.
Lord, bless me, today,
with confirmation of Your presence
and work in my life.
