This is Sunday... a day of rest. A day to practice not only reading His word but meditating on it.
Read the passage through just to become familiar with where we are. What the story is about.
Read it once more. What word or phrase seems to stick out to you? Does it leave you wanting clarification... more information? Go ahead... Google it.
Now take a moment to make the connection between what you were looking for... and what God is trying to teach you. Ask him... Lord, what are you saying? What do you mean? Sometimes the answer comes quickly. Other times it may take a while.
Now... rest. Rest in the knowledge that his timing is perfect. Rest in the reality of knowing... or not knowing. Rest in the One who promises to answer when we ask.
"Be still, and know that I am God. ..."
