The kingdom of heaven is like... treasure hidden in a field... finding a pearl of great value... a net thrown out for fishing. Jesus spends a lot of time describing the kingdom. In the case of the treasure and the pearl, those who found them were willing to sell all they had just to get it.
Are you willing to sell all you have just to know Jesus? What one thing would be hard to let go?
Lord, you know the hard places in my heart.
You know where I cling to the things of this world.
Reveal to me Your true worth, help me release
the things that will fail. Teach me to take hold of You.
