Sabbath Challenge--Day 40

Today's Scripture:  Matthew 25:1-13
It's Sunday and we have a few more minutes than usual. You can click on the link or you may want to hold the book. Quick run get your favorite bible.

Read through the scripture quickly to get an idea of the story.

Now, read it again slowly... letting each word sink in... digging deep for meaning.

Imagine you are part of the story. Who would you be?
...are you a foolish bridesmaid with no oil?
...the one who is wise and prepared?
...are you sleepy?
...are you in a panic because you forgot to bring extra oil?
...are you accompanying the groom to the banquet hall?
...maybe you're standing outside the door?

Your answers to the questions... what are they revealing to you about where you are on your spiritual journey? What's holding you back from the preparation?

Ask God how you can prepare for his coming.

Rest... rest in the knowledge that when you seek his way he will not leave you out in the cold.

Lord, fill me with a hunger for Your Word,
and a desire for the things of Your Kingdom.

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously,
and he will give you everything you need.
Matthew 6:33 NLT
