Paul and Silas, led by the Spirit on their missionary route, ended up offending the locals, getting arrested, then beaten and imprisoned. Yet they were not discouraged.

Along about midnight, Paul and Silas were at prayer
and singing a robust hymn to God. ...
Acts 16:25 Msg

Their midnight devotional resulted in a miraculous earthquake and the salvation of their jailer and his entire household.

When we follow the leading of the Spirit, even when it takes us to a very difficult place, we should rest assured we are exactly where He wants us to be. Respond with prayer and songs of praise, not doubt and complaining. God has a purpose for our good and His glory in everything. Everywhere He leads awaits an opportunity to build His Kingdom and plant His Word in a dark place.

Lord, bless me with the faith to follow Your Spirit wherever it leads.
Help me to recognize the difficulties that arise from obedience as opportunities.
Fill my heart with prayer and song's of praise instead of fear and grumbling.
