"Could you not stay awake..." The disciples were finding it hard to stay awake and pray. Jesus said the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.
What's your weak spot... the place your flesh easily gives in to temptation... when it comes to the spiritual discipline of prayer? Take time to ask God to show you how to become strong in this area of your life.
Jesus, You told us to pray so that we might avoid the time of trial.
You laid the responsibility on us to STAY AWAKE!
Stir my heart, faith, and spirit to the importance of prayer,
I want to be diligent instead of complacent when it comes to praying.
