...and the sanctuary was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from his power,
and no one could enter the sanctuary until the seven plagues
of the seven angels were finished.
Revelation 15:8 ESV
Seven angels, with seven plagues, will bring the end of God's wrath against those who continue to refuse His grace.
And I can't help but think of Jesus. His words on the cross: It is finished.
The Lamb of God came to take away the sins of the world. To drink the cup of His wrath so we would not have to. So we could enter His sanctuary. And I wonder at those who refuse His grace.
For those who believe, it is already finished. Our lives are hidden with God in Christ. Already we dwell in His sanctuary.
But for those who have to do it their way. They will have to drink the cup of His wrath themselves. And it will be their undoing.
Thank God today for the new and living Way He made through Jesus.
Thank Him for enduring what we could not.
Thank Him for those in Christ: It. Is. Finished.
Lord Jesus, thank You for taking what I could not.
Thank You for the gift of faith.
Use me to help others receive Your great gift
before it's too late.
