"Yes, Lord God the Almighty,
true and just are your judgments!"
Revelation 6:7

God's wrath poured out in seven plagues.
Just judgments, on hard hearts, who will never turn to God.

One thing we can fully trust are His judgments. He alone sees the hearts of man and fully understands the intention behind every word and deed. He is coming like a thief, which seems unjust. No final warning bell. No time to get it right. But in a way, His wrath poured out, these plagues, are a warning. Even though those living in the world will not repent, but curse God instead, it implies there will be time to turn. If they choose.

Yes. His judgments are always just. Always right. Always true.
Those who know Him, see Him as good. See grace in the plagues.
They know He will come like a thief in the night. Unexpected. Unbidden.
And there is a blessing for those who are prepared. Who keep their garments on in the midst of judgment. In the midst of plagues poured out.

We wear the garments of grace.

Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved,
compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness and patience,
bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another,
forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect
harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed
you were called in one body. And be thankful.
Colossians 3:12-15

The time of judgment is coming like a thief in the night. Stay awake. Keep on the garment of grace. And just maybe, those whose hard hearts cannot be turned with judgment, just might be softened with grace.

Father God, let me not grow weary or cynical while I wait for You.
Keep me awake and alert covered in Your grace and love.
Remind me it is not my place to judge and condemn. That is Your job,
which You do perfectly. Mine is to offer grace. Bless me with the faith
to love in the face of darkness.
