After chaos ensued and the mess made, Jacob flees
from home.
Was he satisfied with the outcome of the events? Did he feel warranted in his actions or had regret set in? Did the blessing from his father even feel like much of a blessing now?

Completely alone, afraid for his life, and tired... this is
exactly where God chooses to meet him. Not to deliver punishment but to
cover Jacob with grace. The covenant that started with Abraham was passed
to Isaac is now delivered to Jacob and sealed with a declaration of assurance:
“I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, I will bring
you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done
what I have promised...”
The same God who promised to be with Jacob is with us today. So easily we forget and think of Him as merely a King reigning over us from His throne, but our God is with us! He meets us where we are, right in the middle of chaos, loneliness, brokenness, ready to cover us with His grace, to help us pick up the pieces, walk with us, and work with us as we put them back together.
Lord, remind me You are with me always. Thank You for not leaving me on my own. Thank You for keeping Your promises even when I don't.
