Signs of Believers:

  • We are willing to bear reproach from others in His name. Willing to endure the disapproval and disgrace of the world in order to follow His Word.
  • We don't make our home here on earth, because we are seeking the city coming with His return. This is one reason we are willing to undergo reproach by those who are rooted in the world.
  • Through Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit we continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God. His name is on our lips. Unashamed to praise Him publicly as the Holy Spirit leads.
  • If there is good to do we do it. Sharing with others even when it is a sacrifice. We want to please God more than we want what our flesh wants.
  • Authority is a big issue for Believers. We accept that God has placed all leaders in their positions of power, therefore we joyfully submit to them knowing our leaders are accountable before Him. Only when the leaders have moved far out from under God's authority, do we choose to follow God above the leaders.
How do you measure up?

Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead
our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood
of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good
that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing
in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory
forever and ever. Amen.
Hebrews 13:20-21 ESV

Lord Jesus, equip me with everything good that I may do Your will.
