Beyond the Gospels: Revelation

Today's Scripture: Revelation 7
(Click on the link to read the verses.)
And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore,
“they are before the throne of God
    and serve him day and night in his temple;
and he who sits on the throne
    will shelter them with his presence.
 ‘Never again will they hunger;
    never again will they thirst.
The sun will not beat down on them,’
    nor any scorching heat.

For the Lamb at the center of the throne

    will be their shepherd;
‘he will lead them to springs of living water.’
    ‘And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’”
Those having washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb are a countless multitude from every tribe, nation, and language. Those who have died with Christ in the baptismal waters of salvation are now standing before His throne clothed in white. Never again will they hunger or thirst. No tears will fall from their eyes.

They stand in His presence serving Him day and night in His holy temple. This is you... and me... Words cannot describe how beautiful the day will be.

Lord Jesus, bless me with the perseverance and faith
to endure the tribulations of life with grace and godliness.
Fill me with the hope of the glory to come and the zeal to serve You
with every moment I have in this world so I won't waste
my days on the things of this earth which pass away.
